Foraging courses and wild food events, are run by Fraser Christian and colleagues across the UK, and are based in the South West. Fraser has a long history with wild food and its cookery, a fully qualified chef and professional forager.
Fraser’s past has found him leading various courses for the now famous Hugh and River Cottage, and foraging for some of the UK’s top Michelin Chefs.
Our foraging courses are second to none! The only UK foraging courses designed by someone with a professional chef’s background, after all we are talking edible gourmet wild food.

Foraging is the art of hunting with your hands, on our foraging courses you will learn how to confidently identify wild foods and learn how best to preserve, prepare and cook them.
Our foraging courses cover a wide range of plants and seafood, both inland and coastal.
Private group courses are a popular choice for hen and stag parties, family and friends – courses and walks can be available in your local area.
Wild food foraging courses are led by experienced and passionate instructors that all have a solid and comprehensive background in their individual subjects, from wild food to wild medicine, edible seaweed to shellfish, mushrooms and fungi; they will all happily share their rich and varied knowledge, in an honest, practical and sustainable manner.
We run wild food foraging courses for private groups anywhere in the UK. Experience the rewards of a fun and informative day foraging for tasty edibles to add to a few dishes cooked alfresco on location. We have a rustic outdoor catering set up and features a large group Paella and Risotto pan and cooker. Hen party’s, Stag events and private groups most welcome!
Foraging course – private group booking
Private group bookings are a popular choice for hen parties, stag parties and birthdays. We run private foraging courses in many locations across the UK and in West Dorset along the seashore and private woodland camp. Foraging walks are a half days entertainment, with the other option of foraging and cooking, for a full days course.

Foraging courses – coastal plant walk
A gentle stroll foraging along the abundant hedgerows, meadows and beaches. Plants and trees, some familiar and other less know wild vegetables and herbs for both culinary and medicinal uses. 2/3 hour coastal plant foraging identification walk. Ideal for a your first foraging course.
Foraging courses – seashore walk
The seashore boasts some of the finest wild food in the land and the range of different shellfish and seaweeds are highly sought after food. The lunch time foraging course is based around Spring tides in west Dorset, allowing us to range far out foraging onto the reefs and exposed rocks on a 2/3 hour identification foraging walk, focusing on shellfish and seaweeds.
Foraging courses – hedgerow and woodland walk
Before and after the leaves are out on many of or woodland trees, the plants that shelter beneath and around are at there best, as with Spring and Autumn. The wild food we may find when foraging change significantly, starting with flowers and leaves, then moving to fruits, the hedgerows’ are great places to start for delicious flavours and colours.
Foraging and cook edible wild food courses
After a good foraging session there’s no better way to taste nature harvest than freshly cooked in situation either on the beach or in the woods, the rich fresh and sometimes intense flavours can really be appreciated and taste even better when its food that you have foraged, eaten on location
Lunch is made using a few pantry stores to create our signature wild seashore paella and woodland risotto’s and appetisers! Courses are led by Fraser Christian, professional gourmet Chef and UK coastal specialist. There is no better way to experience a foraging course than on the seashore!
